I love how so many incorporate squash and root vegetables into their decor this time of year. There is so much beauty in rustic and natural items. We used these gorgeous purple turnips to create this look. Cut the bottoms off to allow them to sit flat if you need to and then just cut a circle on the top and scoop out enough of the insides to let your tea light sit in. You can use all sizes. I think it would be beautiful to just fill the center of your Thanksgiving table with these. Get creative with what you use. I thought it would be pretty to plant little succulents in these also. Go to a great produce section or the Farmers Market and be amazed at the beautiful colors nature has created.
